The Intel Trophy was fish last night on the Rye and a fine evening greeted a fine turnout, all were in good spirits. The river was a little low but nothing to complain about and a good hatch came on at about 10pm in some parts of the river other parts saw no hatch at all. Dermot Mitchell won this competition with 8 fish for 80 inches overall length, Jason Nolan was 2nd with 5 fish for 49 inches and Aidan Crean & Kevin Tipper were joint 3rd with 38 inches each. Donal Connelly caught the largest fish of the evening at 15.5 inches and Dermot took the most fish bonus point. All enjoyed the event spent by the river even if some spent most of the evening yapping rather than fishing (thats the Leixlip Anglers for you a good yap is as important as a good fish).
