Martin Dowling & Jason Nolan were out last week on the river and were treated to a fine evenings fishing, it was quite foggy/misty which normally means the trout will have no interest but some times tenacity pays off and thats exactly what happened. After several fish of varying size from 10-13 inches each, they both broke their records for their biggest trout from the Rye River it was Zoo Creatures all round.
Also Brendan O Reilly has asked that any fish scale samples you have so far be returned for posting to Martin O'Grady for processing, anyone helping with the sampling can continue until the end of the season and if you need further envelopes please contact Brendan.
Also in other news we have installed a red reflector on a tree to mark the crossing point to the new path to the football pitches car park, when heading upstream the crossing point is just past the red reflector about 15 meters upstream on your right, the reflector shows up well when illuminated with a torch.
Martin Dowling had this fine lump a PB of 17 inches
Jason Nolan had this torpedo a fish of a lifetime his PB a 20 inch Trout on a 6'6" 3 wt rod it was fun!
